There should be...

...an OTS gathering sometime in the relatively near future. Plane tix are really cheap right now for flights a month or more away, and I'm needing a vacation.. and a gathering somewhere would make a decent excuse to have a vacation. Besides, I've promised a few of the regs I'd dye their hair for them, and to do that.. well, it's kinda hard to do that over the Internet.

Any suggestions, anyone? Is there going to be an E3 gathering this year in L.A.?

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Actually, there IS gonna be an OTS Gathering in E3 ... although I dunno how many people will come this time ...

Anyway, I was set to announce it tomorrow ... you just beat me to it, lol ...

WOO HOO!

Posted by: Swilo

Someone send me tickets.

Posted by: Gerbilo

I suggest a Chicagoland gathering... now that I'm 18 I can go according to rules and I don't have to get into a big fight with ravenstorm like last time!!!

Shal, you are closer to Chicago... bring spork up here !

Posted by: TheeMon

yes chicago!!! and not the last week of school hehe

+ on a side note, does the parent HAVE to be there threw the whole thing? or can they just like say hey and say hi n sht to u guys then leave and pick me up later? hehe... unless of course they'll be beer then my dad would prolly stay

Mmm, dislexia is fun!

Ooh ooh, yeah, Let's have a Gathering in every major city in the North Americas!

Gerbilo, you should come DOWN to St. Louis! It's warmer here, and you can just take the Amtrak all the way down.

No dyslexsia there, Hackenslacker.. Spork Lover and I live down here (hence the "bring spork" not "spring break").. so does Laborat, and Darky's a few hours away...

Then again, we could probably arrange a gathering in Chi-town sometime this summer, eh? Would give our Canadien friends less travel-time if they wanted to come...

Tickets are cheap? Must be a US thing...

A quick search shows 600$ to chicago. Not an amount I'm willing to pay. And there is NO WAY IN HELL I'd sit on a greyhound for 20ish hours. Screw that!

So I nominate a gathering in toronto! (selfish, I know).

Either that or someone picks me up... lol

Where the hell do you find those prices, Nova? I found 2 adult tickets, non-stop flight, roundtrip.. from St. Louis to L.A... for $422 (US). That's $211 for each roundtrip ticket...

Posted by: Null Actor

What site do you use? I was using expedia.ca which is all I could think of for a quick check.

at first i thought u ment that i was prone to killing ppl but then i relized u ment u... i think hehe

Plain old Yahoo Travel, Nova.. you put in the dates, the number of stops you're willing to put up with.. etc, etc.. Found it on American Airlines. Oh, and if you check for a few months in advance (like the end of May) tickets are MUCH cheaper than "current flight prices". They like you to book in advance.

Posted by: Null Actor

Yahoo gave me 560$ for toronto to chicago in june.

*shrug*

Canada's airlines suck bad.

Posted by: Null Actor

Playing with expedia.com (the us site) gave me toronto to chicago in june for 220$. That's 350$ or so CDN, and I'm not sure if I can buy from the US website. Not only that, but I'm betting there is at least a 200$ hidden fee, since it's an Air Canada flight.

Too true man....

I'd love to get together with you guyz... but its not gonna happen this year.

Maybe next year. I'm still paying for my immigration :-(

Still it was totally worth it.... I LOVE CANADA... eh!

Here, Nova..

July 12-14. Roundtrip, nonstop, Toronto to Chicago. $281 US dollars.

Posted by: Null Actor

But do they sell tickets to canadians?

(I'd check myself, but I am unable to access the site through mozilla, and IE is giving me bad gateway on everything. ****ing ISP)

Posted by: Shalome

Even better yet, Nova..

June 28-June 30, one connection, Toronto to St. Louis:

http://dps1.travelocity.com:80/airp...3192002&LANG=EN

$245 USD. I dunno why they wouldn't sell tickets to a Canadian... I can't find anything that says they don't.

Who could make it to a St. Louis gathering this summer (besides me, Spork, and Darky)?

Posted by: Null Actor

I dunno. 400$ for a plane ticket, more for a hotel... not sure. But if some concrete plans start getting laid down, I'll see what I can do.

I probably could. I used to live there, and have some old friends there.

Posted by: Spork Lover

try the actuall airline websites... they are starting to sell tickets at higher prices to other parties... in order to encourage people to buy from them at their own websites.

Lol...that Dyslexia thing is funny...

Yeah lets have a midwest OTS gathering, If I am remembering correctly... there are 3 people in the STL metro area...and a few in Chi-Land.

Posted by: TheeMon

wtf is chi-land? u mean chiacgo?

Posted by: Darky!

I can do St. Louis. Its only a 6 hour drive. 3 Hours if I disregard all traffic laws.

Posted by: Erekose

nah darky, not laws, 'suggestions'

Posted by: Heathen

Hey... Stampede Week in Calgary

LOL - ya'll

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Depending on when this "midwest" gathering is gonna be, I may be able to go, or I may not ... my first priority is still the one near my backyard (E3) ...

Now, if this midwest gathering was scheduled for around August or September, I would probably be able to go

Posted by: Gunslinger

Ewwwww. August and September = bad.

Posted by: Gerbilo

I'll do stuff in Chicago.. I dunno about going anywhere, I have a few other places I should travel first heh...

Me, T'kron, Vindica, Janna, Airbladus, & I dunno if Foogar would make the trip back up here hehehe... but those ppl are in Chicago area...

Vin wants to go back to the restaurant we went to last time I bet lol.
