allied assault

I have two problems. Make that Three. #1 I know nothing about game mods and patches.#2 what is a trainer? #3 requires some explaining.I've beaten Allied Assault twice in the month in a half that I've owned it.
Once in the easy mode, once in the medium mode.
I want to try it in the hard mode, but of course I also want to use cheat codes. I printed some from the net, and they seem to work. The thing is there is a console to use to put the cheats in, all I want is infinate ammo.
There is no code for that, there is a code for all weapons
all ammo. Whats wrong with that? Nothing, except I lose
the sounds in about 50% of my weapons. Say a gun is fired with this code on. No fire or reload sound. I've gone back to the console after doing this, and found messages stating,"springfield"03sinper rifle needs alias in ubersound.wav.". Or something similar to that. I would like to know if the problem can be fixed or not.
Anyones help on this would be greatly appreciated.

#2: It's a program (usually filled with trojans ) that runs in the background, it gives you unlimited ammo/health and things like that when you activate it.

!. Patches are updates to your game installation, that resolve bugs detected after game launch, such as compatibility problems eg graphic card x wont work with game y. Patches can also add new features to a game for example one patch for Dungeon Keeper 2 adds a couple of new creatures into the game. It is advisible to look for patches for games as they may iron out any problems you are experiencing. But be warned not all patches are good. Take a look in the Diablo forum on this site for an example.

2.A mod is a modification or conversion of an existing game, so basically it makes a different game using the same game engine. Games with a large mod community add to the longevity of a game considerably, just look at Counterstrike. If you are unsure of which games have mods available check out fansites for your favourite games. Personally I would recommend Halflife, Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. The amount of extras available for these games is staggering. Have a look around at fileplanet.com or fileleech.com to see what you can get.

Hope this helps a bit
