MS Word grammar check seems broke...

I was writing this article in Word and I found this pretty funny...
Uhm, so it's supposed to check if you have correct grammar, right? And then present some suggestions in order to make it correct?

i cant see all of the original sentence, but if it just gave you the same sentence back as the suggestion then thats pretty weird
the grammar checker isnt very reliable
the only thing it has really ever fixed for me is "its" and "it's" confusion
"your" and "you're" mix ups are fixed as you type along
a lot of the time its trying to get me to change a word of phrase to something that 100% doesnt make any sense
in any case - ive never had it spit the same phrase back at me
but it has said "Long sentence (no suggestions, but i just have this feeling something is wrong with it)"

Well, the original sentence I typed was:
"I have been smitten by the computer bug to the point that my profession has changed drastically..."
Granted, that's wrong sentence structure, but MS Word attempts to correct me with:
"The computer bug to the point that my profession has changed drastically has smote me..."
Which I think is not any better, hehe

grammatically its better, but its just not the normal way we write. smote isnt in common usage.

your computer sure has an odd dialect
i think the problem stems from years of anti athlon propaganda stifling the interaction between the tribes
if only a neutral party could step in and mediate
but ever since the cyrix incident no one will step up =\
ps - after re reading that its apparently time for sleep

When you installed, did you click English or American for the dictionary?

How about this?
Since the computer bug smote me, my profession has changed drastically.

aye all it needed (the sugesstion) was some punctuation but who uses that crap

<sarcasm>
Punctuation? I have never heard of this.
What is this punctuation you speak of?
Does it have anything to do with commas, periods, and semicolons?
</sarcasm>
