I feel exactly the same way as he felt in a thread he started the other evening. So I tell you now .... ban me or whatever you want to do .... but this has really been bothering me and I AM GOING TO SAY IT! But be warned! Some of the following text ...... IS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT ... so sue me! If I AM banned from OTS.net .... it BETTER be Laggy that does it!
There are a couple of people that are very active with the operation of this forum that seems to take their responsibility WAY TO SERIOUSLY, as I have before.
We have been scolded with "This shitfest is locked. Everyone should do some growing up, on all sides. Even the mature ones." .... I was even given the defination of something, and told to go to "www.dictionary.com Use it." Was there a  or a  with the statement? No!
When we are told "If I used my mode status with what I think about this thread, I would have deleted it from the first post because the Olympics are stupid IMO. But I am adhering to the forum guidelines. Because everyone should be treated the same and have the same rights." Exactly who are you talking to? The question is ..... IS EVERYONE TREATED THE SAME, here? Does everyone have the "same rights"? Don't think so!
When someone says ..... "And on that note, don't go spouting it yourself, or you'll get a warning as well. I have ZERO tolerance for ANY kind of racism. Don't push me." Does not everyone have the right to express their opinion about whatever they want to say? Not if your on "someones shitlist"!
The other night, in the "spirit of humor" I started "kidding" with someone, and obviously "he" didn't like it, or me, one of the other. Doesn't matter. That's ok. I "am mature" enough to see a "immature person" let a little bit of "power" go to their head. But the next time you come across like that with me or anyone else ...remember what you have said before ... "Because
everyone should be treated the same and have the same rights."
When someone posts something that begins with .... "...I have 4 children and all their friends wonder...blah-blah-blah........" and gets a comeback like " "BRO YOU ARE SO COLOOOOOOOOO I WISH MY DAD...blah-blah-blah............" not one word is said to stop the nonsense. The thread is NOT slammed shut. Again, does everyone have the same rights? You figure it out!
Statements like " "I hate parents" and "fortunately, mine are dead." are perfectly acceptable, as they should be. It is their right to say what they want to say. This is a public forum, and this IS America! The person(s) making these statements HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT THEY WANT TO SAY. If I am not mistaken that was said in "Rants & Raves". But then again, were they chastized? No! They do NOT happen to be on "someones shitlist"!
Another point is about "long posts". When one person puts in what another person considers a "long post" ... they are "smacked on the hands". But then post #423 & post #442 are left in and no one says a word. ........does everyone have the same rights? No! But "someone" must think the content of "these posts" are worth reading. They are posted by "mature OTS posters"!
Several of the "bnet quotes of the day" become VERY "adult" in content .... does anyone close that thread? No! .... becasue the "powers to be" in this forum ... seem to think THOSE POSTS ... are MATURE! .... perfectly acceptable .... does everyone have the same rights? I don't think so!
When Erekose started the new thread "This will probably get me banned, but ...." he was directly told, " Well you weren't directly bothering anyone until you started THIS topic. And it's clear you're just trying to start trouble. So i'm going to close this topic as well. If you want to take this up further, use private messaging instead of cluttering the boards." And then the THREAD WAS CLOSED! .... does everyone have the same rights?
So gang, clean up your act, treat everyone the same or shut the hell up!

Seriously, I think you are reading far more in to things than is actually there.
Racism is racism. I see it, I beat it down. Don't like it? Too bad.
As for that quote of the day... I wasn't being a mod when I said that, I was just telling people that 10 page posts aren't exactly something that people read. I wasn't doing anything other than suggesting. I don't care what they post in that thread, I rarely do anything except give it a cursory glance.
The shitfest was locked because it was nothing but people baiting each other. It was a giant mess just waiting to happen. Call it preemptive moderation.
Regardless, as laggy's said before, this isn't exactly a bastion of free speech. As moderators, we do what we can to keep the site from turning in to what other forums are.
Sorry if you don't think I'm doing a good enough job. Maybe you'd like to be a moderator? I'll give you my job, I don't particularly like it much anyway. Can't be myself. I do it as a friend of laggy though, since he puts in all the work to keep the site going, the least I can do is help moderate.
But if you want to do it, I'll give you my title.

I don't take kindly to being accused of making racist comments. If that was atttemopt at humor, it was in bad taste.
Again this is something that should be handled in private messaging. If you have a problem with the moderators, send a private message to Laggy or to another mod. Posting it out like this just proves you're out to start trouble for your own amusement.

I encourage everyone who has problems with the moderation in OTS to please fire a PM my way ... I would like to settle this issue once and for all, because it's pretty much a hassle trying to deal with it every couple of months - and I would like to know what everyone thinks... Thank you...
