This is bullshit. My provincial government up'ed the taxes on smokes and booze. Smokes went up 2$ a pack, making them about 9$ the cheapest. Booze is up 10%. This is just retarted.
And yes i am actually quiting, i cant afford to slowly kill myself for that price.
Gotta work over an hour to buy a pack of smokes now.

I suppose we should be congratulating the government instead. Good job, saved another!
Anyway...wish you the best. It's a good decision, stick with it.

Heh, the Canadian government puts dead fetuses and such on their cigarette packs, as opposed to our small Surgeon General's warning, I'm surprised any Canadian smokes.

Aw come on, I posted a recent picture of me in an OTS tee shirt not too long ago I will repost it here, it looks a lot like my avitar

18+39=57
You're not THAT ancient.
Posted by: tkron
well, lets see I was born in 11 of 1944
1944 + 57 = 2001
Hmmm
Guess this means I will be 58 this year.
Remember your as old as you feel.

i still remember dennis leary's skit from 'no cure for cancer' about naming the cigarrettes 'tumors' putting them in a black box with a skull and crossbones on it. wonder if maybe that would work?

"I heard they give you cancer in one puff, I can't wait to get my hands on these things!!"
Muggs, if you scan the pics and put them in a thread, make sure to put up some warnings before hand. I don't think it's a bad thing to show them, but make sure people don't blindly get surprised by them.
