Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis

Sigh...I don't know if I should weep or swear!

I just got Operation Flashpoint a few days ago. However, I am about to throw the CD away. It isn't because the game isn't fun. Actually, the game is darn good. The problem is that I am stuck and can't seem to advance.

Now I like games, but then they become impossible, then my frustration level gets high. For instance, they only give you one measily save point per scenario. That is it. Furthermore, the scenario I am stuck in for well over a day, is nigh impossible. This isn't fun anymore. For those of you who have this game, you will know the point. It is the scenario that your squad gets all killed and your the last one left...and you must get to the evac zone because the place is crawling with Russians.

Well, I have tried everything to no avail. I play in "cadet" mode on top of that. Well I always get spotted, then a tank comes along and kills me. If it isn't a tank, then its a Hind that blows me up. If it isn't a Hind, then its about 7 solders who seem to know where I am always. I have killed these soldiers many times, but they always call in the darn tank.

Now I have gotten close to finishing this scenario, but I am always found out, no matter how I do it, how I crawl/run/walk there. It don't matter. Your dead.

I think I am going to quite. A word to game designers out there, if someone plays a scenario for a full freaking day to no evail...I think there is something wrong with your game. It isn't because the player sucks, its because the game sucks. The idiots who designed the game so that there is only 1 way to do it, and doesn't hint at how to do it, should be forced to play their own game ad nauseum.

To bad...it was a good game..........

well practice makes perfect. Maybe the game has a hint line you can call that will let you in on a tip that u might not be doing...try www.ign.com they may have some guides on the part you are stuck on.

If Chako has tried to beat it for a day, I doubt a guide would help even if it tells you every step of the way (one mistake could get you killed). Also, games should not be made so that you would be forced to look at a strategy guide in order to beat it.

I got stuck for awhile in the water temple in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but I wouldn't call it poor game design. Just like of skill on my part.

i got stuck in the ditch on the side of the road

Kane, actually, I have done that..but haven't come across anyone carrying a bazooka or
something heavy to take out that tank.

Besides, I noticed that as soon as I do a search, I get spotted..

Onto other games that are less frustrating.

Heh, OoT was easy as hell, fun though (in my opinion, all your naysayers can go to hell and die ) I had MM the day it was out, I even got the gold cartridge, and in no time at all I was on the last temple, spirit temple or wahtever, but after about 3 minutes into that temple I shut my nintendo off and have only gone back to play it once since, they overdid the puzzle shit in that temple, by far.
