Don't you know what causes that!?

This is just a need of mine to vent a little frustration. To all of the people out there who are against large families or having children at all and feel like it is their place to chastise me for having 4 kids:
SHUT UP!
Last time i checked i still lived in a country that didnt limit family size. And of course i know what causes this (pregnancy) How do you think i made it to the age of 28 BEFORE i had any kids? And i am in a stable relationship (marriage in my case) and all my kids are mine and my husbands. (nothing against blended families of course)
We are both mature adults who wanted children and waited till we were as ready for them as you can be.
We are also capable of caring for them and giving them what they need to be successful people when they are grown( at least we hope they will be) While they may not have all the material belongings of other children, they will always have a home and food and clothes, and most importantly, the love and care that we give them.
we also started college funds for them each and though it might not amount to alot of money at least it will be a start on a good future for them.
And dont tell me about overpopulation problems, i am intelligent enough to know about that. It isnt a problem yet where i live and i dont believe that it is getting that bad here. As for it in other places, there are reasons for that; such as supplying aid to people without giving them a way to support themselves later. A very shortsighted view and causes much overpopulation that ends in angry young people, but i digress and dont want to start that argument.
So back to what i started with. I chose to have my kids and can care for them very well. So if you are against my viewpoint- fine, but button your pants and keep your reproductive organs to yourself and button your lip and keep your smart remarks to yourself!
Now i have and appointment with my Ob/Gyn to go to so i will see you all later Thanks for letting me vent.

Sorry guys, this wasnt aimed at anyone in here. I hope i didnt offend anyone. I was just angry and needed to talk. I guess i had one too many comments on birth control from my mother and mother-in-law, both who had 5 and 6 kids respectively! Thanks!

well we luv ya (and the rugrats) all the same. i'm one of 4 children myself

One of 3, my dad is one of 5, my mom of 4. Anything under 5 is usually reasonable, any more and it would probably be excessive stress ^_^

Hell, my grandmother (mother side) had 11 children (10 still alive), and my other grandmother (father side), had six children, 2 of which were twins.
I am one of three brothers. I love big families Always a fun time during thanksgiving or Christmas...

and thats the only time they are fun. erek, only parents love thier spawn, not strangers. dont lie to the woman.
maternal grandmother had 1 child, paternal had 2. i am an only child. and im a happy wench.
provided that the parents can support themselves and any offspring they have without government assistance, family size is purely a matter of choice. hey, its your sanity.

grandmother on mom's side has 9 kids.
When they were young they all used to live in a 800 sq feet apartment.

how are you going to send all those kids to college? College is so expensive nowadays...

Bovine University my friend.

Overpopulation is such a BS reason for not having kids right now.
If you are using a computer, there is a damn good chance you are living in a country that doesn't have a high enough birth rate to maintain it's own population. So that renders the overpopulation theory moot.
The only place that having many kids is a problem is in uncivilized third world countries, where it adds to the problems the country is already having (usually along the lines of poverty, starvation, etc).
If you can afford them, then power to ya
Personally, I just can't understand why anyone would want kids. Children are little monsters. My worst nightmare would probably be to have a little one of me running around. I don't know how my parents lived through me... if I were my parent, I'd have killed me long ago.
Boy that's one convoluted sentence!

You should read the whole post before making comments like that. Geez, the whole reason she made this kind of thread was cause she was tired of hearing people like YOU say crap like THAT!
Way to participate!

I plan to have kids SOMEday.. I think I'll see how the first one goes before I decide to have any more.
Raynee, if you and your husband are cool with supporting the kids both emotionally and financially, then that's teriffic. You've obviously got a stronger family bond than the people who ask you questions like that.

Really, it isn't anyones business on how many children you have Rayneeday.
You have them, you love them....that is all that counts.
I think these other people are just jealous you have 4 bright sun shines in your life and they do
not!
Backs Nova on that one.
There are programs that send kids to college if they can't afford them. They are called Student
loans...to name just one. That is a dumb argument.

Bad baby!
Kids are fun once they're past a certain age.
Posted by: redwench
true swilo. that age is about 14, in fact.
Posted by: tkron
Actually the really fun years go from about age 11/12 till about 20/22.
At before pueberty dad was the smartest man in the world
from 12 till about 22 Dad is the dumbest old fashionist person in the world
about age 23 Dad gets smart again.
Posted by: Swilo
lol t'k, that's so true.
Posted by: Rayneeday
Hehe! My sanity is fine at the moment and i am still the best/smartest person in the world to my kids! As to sending them to college, we already started tax deffered college funds for the older 3 and will for this one when he gets here. We may not put money in them every month, but it will add up in time
Meanwhile, i am enjoying my kids and only occasionally want to send them to red's house
Posted by: Erekose
aww come on raynee make them (well at least the boys... you know what i just realised i dont even know youre kids so red was right on that one) pay their own way. heh but really im working and saving right now to get myself through the first year at a state school, and ill probably have to take out some loans. im trying for a scholarship through the company my dad works for, but i wont be getting that or any financial aid until next year at the earliest (damn my swiss cheese brain, damn it straight to post-collegiate debt).
i sure hope i have kids someday
