Has anyone ever heard of Democracy Now?
Its a very special radio station that gives you the truth in its rawest form. Not the kind of biased shit that you hear all over mainstream, corporate media.

I am not impressed. This article
Story: HEADLINES: AMID THE RUINS OF JENIN, THE GRISLY EVIDENCE OF A WAR CRIME
The evidence is that someone, who has a vested interest in slanting any story, said it was so. Second hand info. Dig it up and then you have a story.
I think I will check it out for a few more days before I make any final opinions.

I don't care about the stupid website. I clearly stated that the fruit is in the radio program.
If you want real news in books, E-Mails, and websites I recommend Michael Moore.

I see that there is a local station KXCI. I tune in and let you know what I think.
Do you have any opinion on the National Review?
Posted by: redwench
the national review is tres conservative. very unbalanced writing (assuming youre talking about the mag). get a liberal one in addition if you do get it

I received a free copy along with a subscription invoice. Bad as telemarketers. Very conservative but seems to have no problem with putting down either political party. The articles seem to be long winded. This will be a "cancel please".
I am listening to the radio show right now. I didn't know that Lockheed owns and controls the US government. This should be fun as they seem to interview all kinds. It will be interesting to see if there is a bias in the people selected for interview.

*gags* I think I am gonna be sick

suggesting he get 2 different points of view makes you sick? i think you need to see a doctor for that. probably food poisoning.

It is a good idea to try to up to date on both sides. You must be prepared for what the enemy is doing!
Now you only have to decide who the enemy is. How does that go, "We have met the enemy and they is us."

don't bother with mainstream politics... become a libertarian...
better yet, become an independent
and develop your own views....
create a consensus
press for reform
lobby the Government to pass legislation that will let you do whatever you want unless something bad happens.
What was this thread about again?

So far I find "Democracy Now" to be interesting listening. Thanks for the tip on the program.
I think that I will get a subscription to National Reivew as we have plenty of liberal veiwpoint available in mainstream media. The bias of newspapers, tv news & programs is apparent. The bias of talk radio is apparent.
Conservative and liberal are not bad words. What the political parties have done with them is. Socialism is only promoted by those haven't lived underneath it's oppression.
I love this quote as it cuts to the chase in the last sentence.
"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg. "
- Thomas Jefferson
If it doesn't steal from you or injure you, then it is none of the govs business.

oh? going to pave your own roads and run your own school?
there are many things the government funds that it shouldnt, but that quote is a little too narrow for most people.
i dont know about tucson rocky, but here the talk radio shows are either informational, infomercialal (i just made that word up), or conservative. not a single liberal on the airwaves on talk radio. after a while, you just dont bother to listen any more. they all say the same things. bleh.

Most of what was written at that time was aimed at a federal government not local.
I would love to see the feds out of the business of blackmailing states with highway money that is ours to begin with.
Whether you agree or disagree with the topics, talk radio is boring as it is always the same old rant with any opposing views terminated. That's why I have been finding Democracy Now to be fun. They seem to interview a wide variety of people.

Its my favorite radio station ever but I don't get it here at home! ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!I listen to it constantly whenever I leave though
When I was in florida for 2 and a half weeks the stories were mostly covering the Israel / Palestine conflicts.
Anything in particular they're covering now?
Posted by: Spider
I'm sure there's a radio station online that plays it.
Posted by: AltronHGX
I'll be honest-- I know nothing about internet radio streaming whatsoever. (seeing as how I never listen to radio except when Democracy Now! is on when I'm away from home..)
Care to clue me in ?
