Whoo hoo!!
Rockville, MD - April 23, 2002 - Bethesda Softworks™ announced today that the highly-anticipated role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind™ for PC, has gone to gold master and will be in stores the first week of May. Morrowind also be available will also be available soon for the Xbox™ video game system from Microsoft.
Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player RPG in which a player can create and play any kind of character imaginable. Players can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on their own to explore strange locations and develop their character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind promises to be an experience like no other.
I can't fricken wait.

I'm going to use my credit I got for returning Jedi Knight 2 and buy Morrowind with it if it's good.

Hmmm... first week of may. That sounds a little optimistic. Unless they mean the second week of may, which is the first full week.
Takes a good two weeks to produce the first run of a game that is expected to be even remotely popular. If they try and push it any faster, it costs a fair bit of cash, so most companies won't do it.

I have it pre-ordered at EB.
Daggerfall is one of the few games that has alwasy stayed on my harddrive no matter what. Yeah it was buggy, but nothing comes as close to a the PnP experience.
I can't wait. I'll be playing DS until then though.
