Another Member Gone!

Well, just to let everyone know SKYHN will probably not be joining us here anymore. Why you ask? Well I guess he got tired of people here constantly harassing him. I'll say one thing for him; he's got a high tolerance to put up with that kind of crap. I'm sorry if I sound adamant about this but this young man has feelings just like some of you out there! I realize that you should not take to seriously anything posted here, but I guess the constant badgering and ridiculing just got to him. Too bad, he does try and help when he can and as far as I know I have never seen him say anything bad about anyone else in here. Now I know I haven’t been a member too long so all I can only account for the time I have been here. Please understand I'm not saying that we should beg anyone to stay if they don't want to. Just a little compassion and respect to each other here is all that is needed. If you don't agree with someone who might post they're thoughts or opinions on something, then use a little tact! After all you wouldn't want someone to jump all over you every time you post about something. I know how things in these and other forums can be taken out of context and miss-understood, I myself got a little hot under the collar when I felt I was being personally attacked over something I posted. But in this case I feel his feelings are justified. I only hope that this kind of treatment towards other members or guests doesn't continue because its that kind of stuff that will cause other members to leave and new people not to stay.
Just my thoughts on this matter that’s all.

Can't say I blame him.
I've been upset at somethings posted on OTS about myself too... and almost never came back.
We need to remember that attached to every post is a real person with real feelings. People who slam posts down are also slamming the postie.
I'm sorry to see SKYHN go... his insight and input was always interesting.

I just hope that posters here remember that these are "non-paid techs", on this forum, ...... so some of their information is worth exactly what they get paid for ..... nothing!

Well I havent fully made up my mind about it yet. I think maybe ill just post comments on news and when someone has a problem or asks about something.
I just dont appreciate it when People come into a thread and say I am 100% wrong because they know all. I wont point out a particular thread, but Im sure some people probably have an Idea of what Im talking about.
I knew several people like that in High School and everyone hated them accept for their buddies, the few that they had. I still know one of those guys and he is still a major ass.
I may make comments about MS or other things, but they are my opinion of the company, same with other things. But ill just avoid those from now on.

If I read it in a magazine, see it on TV, or see it on a known site on the internet, then im going to say something about it if it's relevant.

I would never post something in the console forum like "Xbox sales are too low, MS is going to stop production in a few months." That statement is untrue. Instead I would post my Opinion on it "Xbox sales are low, I wonder how long MS will let it keep going before they stop production on it?"
That was just an example, I dont believe Ive ever said that before.

I am not sure i fully know what is going on here, but SKYHN i wouldn't leave. If certain people are getting on ur nerves just ignore them and do what u know is right(that does not sound right to me, but anyways). I think you should stay around and post where ever the hell u want about what ever the hell you want.
And I don't think i have done any thing, but if i did I apologize.

I am neither a popular member or a "cool" one at that, but eveybody needs to stop, take a deep breath and relax
I first came to OTs due to the black athlon building guide and stayed because eveyone here seemed cool(theres that dam word again) and friendly. But now everybody seems so tense. I think there is a little to much stress for all of us. What i am saying is everyone(including me) needs not get so excited.
Just my humble opinion.

I also hope that posters here remember that the members here provide support from the goodness of their heart, and even if you may not like their answers, their efforts should be commended. The information they provide is definitely worth SOMETHING, and I salute everyone who has provided tech support in this site, even though some people here think they don't amount to much. Remember that these people are not being paid to help you, yet they help you anyway... Last time I checked, that was a good thing.

heh i know how that is since just about every opinion i have pisses someone off. 9 times out of 10 people take what i say when expressed as an opinion of what i think about something as if i was stating it as fact. skhyn ur one of those too. i dont let it really get to me. but it does get exasperating when it happens all the friggen time.

Okay guys,
I have only posted one other post since becoming a member about a month ago. The reason for this is simple. I came to this site via a search engine. I work as a technical support agent for a local dial-up agency.
After viewing the site, though it was not what I was looking for to start with ( with screen shots and current OS's), I felt like I could learn alot from the people here. I read every post in every forum. It seemed to me that for the most part, people definitely were here to help others with issues they are having. Even the technical guru's learn things everyday! I do like this site because of the features and the advice from others.
I understand from other newsgroups and tech. sites that as people visit more often, they tend to develop friendships with other people. This is great, however, the downside is they also tend to form opinions of these same people and others who come along. Friendships are fine, however, there is a place for this. Maybe Emailing one another? A little bit of ranting would be fine, but maybe keep these forums for tech. advise. If you do not agree with someone, give the postie your option method as well.
I will be posting more later,

I'm not exactly sure how things like this happen, I've been here since just about the begining and i've never seemed to have run-ins with other members where I even thought about leaving the boards.
People have opinions, if you don't like their opinion, that sure as hell sucks for you if you get upset enough to be annoyed by it, if you don't care, good for you, one less thing to worry about.
I just don't seem to get all that upset with people online. I think the biggest run in i've had with anyone was with RavenStorm about a year ago. I'm guessing laggy remembers because he dealt with it, but I'm not sure if anyone else does. I dunno exactly what it was about, but I said something like "Screw huge gatherings, you can meet all over"(on the topic of an OTS gathering or something) and RS thought I said screw all you ppl blah blah... I didn't care that much, if he thinks bad of me, ooooh well, shrug it off and I can make an ass of myself in other ways
SKYHN, not exactly sure why you would leave, someone givin you shit, tell them to shut the hell up and ignore them or something. These boards as well are supposed to be fun in addition to informative and helpful, if it's not fun anymore well....
hrmm... I think that was all I was gonna say...
