Detonator XP V28.90 - Leaked
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

There are a set of Leaked 28.90's getting around . They are from the French NVIDIA Site. You can obtain them here
You have to manually install these drivers. There is no setup installation. I reccommend that you revert to the basic vga windows driver then after reboot manually install the 28.90. If you have Windows XP, the deed will be much easier.
Also here's a newly uploaded pair at the same site that are refresh rate compatible. Go here and check it out.
*Remember, try these at your own risk! But if something does happen you can always go back.

No.

Go to MadOnion's GamerHQ and check their forums for 28.90 Info.
Can beta drivers cause damage to your hardware?
Posted by: Swilo
Of course they can.
Is it likely? No.

I don't even bother with leaked or unofficial drivers. The best bet IMO is to stick with WHQL certified drivers.

I agree with you Ion 100%, just some people like to experiment so I thought I would post about it. Again, let me stress use these at your own "RISK!".

If memory serves me correct, the last Certified driver that Nvidia came out with were the 23.11 drivers which were released about a year ago. In other words they were released long before there was a geforce 4.
They can also be found and downloaded from this site.
I am not too sure how well they work with the new GF4 cards.

I believe the 28.32 are certified.
Posted by: tkron
No they are not, I have 28.32 installed on my computer and if I run Dxdiag and look at display I see the following
o The file nvdisp.drv is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs. You may be able to get a signed driver from the manufacturer of the hardware device.
I may be wrong but I believe digitally signed means certified.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you respectively Tkron.
It just means it hasn't been tested and certified by MS.
For Windows 95/98
Version: 28.32
Size: 8.1 MB
Self Extracting Installer
Release Date: 4/26/2002
WHQL Certified
For Windows ME
Version: 28.32
Size: 8.1 MB
Self Extracting Installer
Release Date: 4/26/2002
WHQL Certified
The new version of the 28.32 drivers are MS certified and approved.

The 28.32's are certified, it says right under the release date on the download page at nvidia.com

nVidia posted them on Monday/Tuesday without letting anyone know. The only reason I found out is because I read it on another forum. I also made a thread about it in the Software forum.
