I was all for them at the begginning but they are really getting annoying now. My mouse is flickering on and off with all the animated smilies and avatars!

You can disable avatars from showing up in posts by going to Edit Options in the User CP

I like Animated Avatars but when Bobaroo and Swilo start posting several times in a row after each other, I get dizzy...
I wish avatars were a little bit bigger for this forum, maybe 96x96...

Yes biggar avatars would be good, but I'm afraid my poor little 56k might not load them fast enough.

nah, the avatars sizes are good the way they are ... too big and they'll be too tacky and cluttered ... I actually wish they were 50x50 to begin with
