Jakks Toymax will soon release a small game controller for around $20 that will include 10 old Atari 2600 games:
The device includes classics such as Centipede, Asteroids, Missile Command, Battlezone, Adventure, Combat and four others, according to Jakks Pacific, which is making the device under licence from Infogrames Interactive, owner of the Atari intellectual property. It will retail under the brand of Jakks' Toymax International subsidiary.
The 8-bit games will simply plug into the TV through the A/V ports as other input devices do.

Cool!
Activision released one a while back called the Game TV which was the same thing with different games. It only set me back $20. Cool little device, just plug it in the RCA jacks on your tv and turn it on.
Has games like pitfall and atlantis on it. Now I'm definately going to have to get the Atari one..

Isnt technology at a point now to where Nintendo or Sega could do this with the Nes/Snes and Genesis?
Something similar to this, with the original design controler for the system, then a cartridge with 20 or so games on it. Maybe even make a slot so cartridges could be switched for more games on other cartridges.
Maybe depending on how sucessfull this is, it might spark that. I know I would love to play some SOR2 again. PC Emulators just dont cut it without the controler.
