Item Value

Okay, this is silly. I couldn't figure out why the Dragon Wing I found on an Elite Chicken Run cost more than one I found on a Veteran Chicken Run, especially since the one found on Veteran looked to have better stats. Well, now I have the same staff found on both Veteran and Elite and the one found on Elite costs more than double? Err, what's with that?

The game's elitist.

What's a dragon wing do? And if you have an extra... *wink*

Consider it a quality issue, sort of like diablo 2, with normal, exeptional, and elite items.

The higher difficulty the game, the more money the items sell for.

Well don't items decrease in price as you go up difficulty levels in D2? I remember like things I would sell in Normal for 10,000 would only sell for a couple hundred in Hell.

Darky!, that would be okay but what I'm talking about is when I'm in a game and have identical items in my inventory one will see for twice the other depending on where it was originally dropped. That's just not right.

uh...ok Dragon Wing is the best one handed sword in the game and yes I have an extra few if your strength is 74+.

Why is it not rright?
The difficulty of the area should determin what an item sells for, not its stats. Its confensation for the potions, and what not you'll use killing the monsters to get the items.

Sorry, but I could not disagree more. The stats should determine the value of an item. DII was this way and every other RPG I've played was this way. As I said in another post, I use the value to compare items, not to just get gold, and you can't compare items if their value is based on the difficulty.

I kinda agree with Tarkus on this one although Darky also makes a good point. I think the best solution is that the items that drop on a higher difficulty level should be restricted to that difficulty level then... That way you have no normal level items dropping in Elite mode and getting a super price boost. You'd just have Elite items being dropped sold for an elite price. That way everyone's happy and we get better items all the time!
