Hmm, getting somewhat low scores in 3DMark 2000

I tried to run 3DMark 2000 on Win2K, and the best score I could get on the default benchmark (1024x768x32) is 4200 3D Marks. This is a far cry from the 7129 3D Marks I get in Win98SE. This is on the 3D Prophet II GTS Pro.
I am using the Hercules 6.34 Win2K drivers and Via 4in1 4.28. D3D is set at best performance and anti-aliasing is off. Any ideas?

That's why I went with the G400 for Windows 2000. NVidia Windows 2000 drivers aren't that great yet.
They should be better than that though. The problem is probably more the benchmarks fault than the driver. How do the games run? http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif
Have you tried the 6.63 WHQL Windows 2000 Det3 Driver? I hear the 7.17 ones are good but those are Beta.

I am running the G400 on win2k as well. Although my benchmarks aren't real high. I have not figured out how to get more out of the card on win2k. I had a number of tweaks that worked great on 98 but the tweaks for 2k have not been available yet I guess.
Ion, have you done any benchmarks on your G400 running under win2k?
Everytime I run 3DMark, I get lower numbers then what I had with 98. Not that I can see any real difference, I was just intrested in what I should be getting.

I'll look into it. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif I haven't bothered with benchmarks other than SANDRA. I'll install 3dMark tomarrow and see what I get.
As far as gaming goes, I don't have any problems in Windows 2000.
