REDMOND, WA -- May 20, 2002 Less than one year after successfully launching NINTENDO GAMECUBE™ at a mass-market price, Nintendo of America Inc. is dropping the MSRP to $149.95, effective Tuesday, May 21, 2002. To date, Nintendo has shipped more than 4.5 million systems worldwide and its hit title, Super Smash Bros. ™ Melee, has topped the 2.5 million mark.

The drop was from Microsoft and Sony's earlier cutback on prices. Nintendo's press release here.

$150? What a bargain!

Go to EBGames.com main page, I like what they have done with these price drops.

That is good, they're even offering free stuff or discounts to those who buy an extra piece~
Wish I had the money now to pick up a GC or PS2, or that they'll keep the deal until fall.

I have wanted to play that game from the first time I heard of it, just because it had monkeys in a ball! Is it really fun?!

How about Nova ball? Do we get to put you in a ball and bash you around for a while?

You know...funny. Ha. Ha.

Monkeyball is amazingly fun. Great as a party game too.
