Probs With Bg2

I recently got Bg2 so me and a friend tryied to play online through MSN IM and if i invite to play the game loby shows up but for him the game starts normally and visea versa. i also tried to connect in tcp/ip mode with his IP and it says i cant connect...... how can we get Bg2 to let us play together online?

well, other than killing firewalls, there shouldnt be a problem with ip games. and try gamespy (shudder) too. you shouldnt have to do any tweaking for either of those methods.

I've never been able to get a MP game going between a friend and me through BG2. We've always had to resort to GameSpy. =(
