Chicken level

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

It's not as great as some people claim it to be... I did it in Elite mode and got less useful things in that run than in two Grescal runs. And I can do two Grescal runs in half the time it takes to clear out the chicken level.

I've done a lot of Chicken Runs and they are far better than the Ruins. I'd say almost all the equipment I use on my three characters are from Chicken Runs. Actually, I'd say it's kinda lame that that's the case.

Maybe I should do more chicken runs and prove myself wrong then...

It just takes so frikken long with this stupid bow. And the Fire Ring spell that I use to do major damage on high-hp melee attackers does NOTHING to those chickens...

It's like the Colonel decided to take a vacation...

You need a good melee guy or someone who can use cyclone of fire.

LOL I'll be able to cast pillar of fire as soon as I get my CM up 20 or so levels.

But Cyclone is far, far away...

Oh BTW, I don't need a mule to do multiple chicken runs... I just made a map (well I edited a tutorial map, rather, cause I didn't know how to make my own map) that has the ingredients lying on the ground.

Perfectly legit since I did work to get them for my first chicken run.

Hmmm, a better mod would be the easychicken mod, which allows you to use 1 gold each instead of the ingredients ...

Hehe Tark, Cyclone of Fire and Shared Pain are "lethal" to them chickens

Hrm EasyChickenMod. Sounds even better!

*runs off to look for it*

Shared Pain isn't really lethal on the Chickens... it helps though.

shared pain alone sucks ... but when you couple it with cyclone of fire, you'll see those chicken hitpoints go down like a slot machine in Vegas...

Hey Laggy do you know for sure whether difficulty such as Easy, Normal, and Hard affects drops? I've had a ton of people tell me it doesn't but since I started easy runs I get squat. If so, do you have a source or did you look at the code? Thanks.

I done the chicken run in elite mode, I myself am only powerful enough to start in eldlim in elite mode, but i hitched a ride on the hub from someone I know LOL.

I found that the chickens where no stronger in elite than vet mode, oh well

Posted by: Chako

They do however, scale nicely depending on how many players are in the game..and their overall level.

Tarkus, I have only done 2 chicken runs..and will have to say that I haven't seen any good items myself...nor can I tell that the items are better in normal or hard mode (I played one of each).

As for cyclone of fire...in my high level magus, cyclone of fire does over 700+ dmg per second. That spell roast chickens quick.

Yea I'll believe if items get better with more people in the game, but I highly doubt that difficulty level has any kind of effect whatsoever.

For those of you who don't think Chicken Runs provide much of the best stuff check out this screenshot. The Punisher Crossbow, Dragon Wing, and Amulet were all found on the same run.

BTW, I can now do these runs in under 22 minutes.

My what a small inventory you have!

I'd like to see the stats on those items.

Pssst for those of you who haven't played with Tarkus, if you think his char looks uber now, wait til you see it in the dark with his buffs.

The sword is Loyal Dragon Wing of Emphasis:
+13% block ranged
+1 CM
+1 NM
+163 Health
+1 Intel
6% of damage deflected
+2 Str

The bow is Inspired Punisher of Reliance
5% reduction in melee damage
+1 CM
+1 NM
+1 Min damage
6-13 piercing damage
3% damage deflected

Those are both very nice weapons. I've never seen a better bow. The ammy was nice but not sure at this point which one it is.

BTW, I now have 5 Dragon Wings, just found one in the Ruins.

Damage on the bow?

Posted by: uh...ok

And the Wing, for that matter.

Um, the standard for punisher bows and dragon wings plus the addies above. Punisher bows are 187-248 and dragon wings are 247-334.
