Router Issues on My Win Xp Machine

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Here's the deal:

My router works, it's fine, I can access the net and play online games from any computer on my home network (4 comps), it's just that on my Win XP pro machine, i can't access the adminstrative options screen, where u can change ports, and settings of the router.

I have a Netgear Rp114 router, and i can access the admin program on any other computer by launching Internet Exploder, and putting in the IP of the router, which is 192.168.0.1 (default ip of netgear and many other routers), but on the Win XP machine, it just doesn't wanna connect to that admin page.

can anyone please give a hint as to why it's not workin from this machine? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Make sure that the security settings are turned down on the WinXP box (for IE). Then, make sure you have administrative control over the WinXP box. Also, make sure that the WinXP firewall is disabled.

Try these, then post back.
