A friend just sent me a zip file containing a number of jpeg files I can't open.

Unfortunately he cannot be reached.

The files say "yEnc" is this some type of encryption and how do I open?

Thanks

This should help you out.

yEnc is the yEncoder/yDecoder -- a binary encoder for Usenet messages.

http://www.easynews.com/yenc/ is a good site for learning more about the encryption and for downloading the necessary software. Good luck!
