HEHE.. Lan's Rock.. I had never been to one untill last year.. did the first one.. 10am till 9pm.. not bad.. lot's of fun.. biggest lan ever was DesertLan.. started fri. at midnight.. till sunday at 6pm.. sleeping bag under the table.. HEHE..

we have minilan party shindig things here in pk. me, soma, sigma, and chem all pile into soma's room. ofcourse, what usually happens is sigma reformatts, and the rest of us either play zsnes or quake :P it's good fun though

As far as aspiring to have this color for yourself is concerned, be aware of two things:
A) Having naturally medium brown hair, the natural color had to be chemically stripped from my hair before adding the blue-green. The concoction used made the Exxon-Valdez disaster look like Earth Day. My scalp is still on the Environmental Superfund list.
B) Women love a sign of self-confidence and nothing says "I am an island of self-love and belief in my personal convictions" like having a shock of bright purple jumpin off yer nugget. I got more 'action' in the month that I was turquoise than in the previous 4 months combined.
So, it has its good sides and bad sides. Consider yourself edified!

that's nothin! i have naturally rust colored hair and if you thought jet black was hard to strip, you'd best think again! To bleach my hair white enough to get the pigment i'm looking for, I have to leave bleach that could strip the black off of asphault on my head for 2 hours!

Some clairfication here
Jim Morrison was rumored to have gotten many women pregnant (he was a rockstar, what do you expect). Suprisingly, there were only a few claims of people saying that they were Jim's child.
The most notable one was Cliff Morrison. He swears he is Jim's child. He even started a band and if I remember correctly, he played with Robby Krieger's son, Waylon. The name of the band... pretty funny.. they were known as "The Lizard Sun Band". I'm quite sure they are defunct now, as Waylon now tours with his father (and he does a kick ass job singing Doors tunes). To read a little about Cliff Morrison check out this link:

I've never heard of this "Tom Morrison" character.
One of the more notable pregnancies that Jim caused was with a popular magazine columnist Patricia Kennealy. She wrote a book about her time spent with Jim. To this day, she still claims that Jim and her were soul mates, and that Jim was hers, not pam's. The vast majority of Doors fans consider this woman to be semi-disturbed, if not all the way screwy. Anyways, Jim got her pregnant and he basically told her "if you want to have the child, go ahead. Just dont expect me to support it. I will pay for an abortion though". Patricia really thought that their kid would be a god (told ya she was nuts), but if Jim didnt want to support it, she would get an abortion. She repeatedly tried to get in contact with Jim in order to have him pay for the abortion, but he never returned her calls. What a shame.
As for Jim and his wife Pam, they never had a child. Following Jims death, Pam really hit the skids. She became even more of a heroin junkie than before and she even ended up becomming a prostitute to support her habbit. She died 3 years after Jim's death. The heroin did her in.
The worst thing about all this is that Jim left all of his belongings to Pam. Well, pam died so all of Jims stuff ended up going to Pam's parents; the Courson family. They now own 1/4 of the band (the doors split everything evenly between each member) and they own all of Jims poetry and solo stuff- including his multi hour poetry recording session and the rights to his film "HWY". Once in a while the coursons will give the go ahead to a project spearheaded by the doors (this is how some of Jims poetry has been released), but overall, they are pretty protective of the stuff. Kind of a bummer
Thats enough of this for now.

Well....
Here is a bad picture angle of me at work.
The father of one of my grade 9 students passed away unexpectedly this week. His teachers decided to get together and make a card for the family along with a basket of cookies for the wake and funeral.
Well, this is me testing my digital cameras self timer feature before class began. I had the students then clear the room of desks..and along with his other 3 teachers, made a class photo as the cover for the card that I then printed out. We each then signed it. That picture turned out fantastic..but I won't post it due to privacy issues, etc...
Anyhow, there is a reason why I look so grim. And if you were wondering about the angle...the camera was placed on a desk and pointed upwards for convenience sake. The important photo was taken on a tripod.
