Generally, midis cannot be converted to wavs because they are two totally different and incompatible file formats.
Midi files are technically just a set of instructions that are given to your soundcard's synth board, and then plays it out according to those set of instructions .. this is why midis sound differently depending on what soundcard you're using.
Wav files on the other hand are full-fledged chunks of data that are created with information that remains intact, no matter what soundcard you are using. This is why wav files sound almost the same no matter what soundcard you use.
To make a more apt analogy, midis are to wavs as html pages are to gif files - html pages are just a set of markup languages and coding that the browser just interprets, while gifs are pieces of data that show up almost the same on any browser.
As to your question, the only possible way of converting midis to wavs is to play the midi and then record it using Windows Sound Rcorder or any recording software and then save it as a wav file. I have heard that a program called Beatnik can actually "try" to convert midi files to wav files, but I haven't really tried it.
