If you mean StarCraft/BroodWare races, I always played Terran or Protoss when I was still playing it, but Terran preferably ... Never really got used to the Zerg's weird build order ....

From a biased point of view, I just love the Protoss. Simply based on storyline, and general "coolness factor".
Mind you, there were times when I was best at Protoss. (Actually I was best in each race at some point, not best in the world, mind you, but best as in of the 3 races I used). I think I generally am best with Protoss, except I seem to do better with Zerg most of the time because of the relatively short amount of time I can pull off a guard rush. i preferred to play protoss - reminds me of my job..gotta keep those pylons up!
but playing terran was always fun even if i wasnt very good with them
mostly fun because i got to be that annoying bastard running around with one cloaked ghost shooting at your 100 units as you thought you were destroying the last of my buildings -- but oh wait! whats this? i flew off one of my buildings that you didnt notice and im going to drag out the game as long as possible because i am not willing to accept defeat! MUAHAHAAHA

It depends on the map, like Micro Hunters, protoss all the way. But, it's sorta the mood I'm in. I havn't played in a while but before I stopped I was experimenting with mass melee units. Before that I would go Carriers/BCs for Toss/Terran and Hydras for zerg. I'll tell you this, hydras/medics is a great combo to use!

Random is the best race!! PERIOD!
Random has features of all 3. It is truly the best one!
Terran is great for the beginning and getting great splat damage on zergs. Great for Protoss attacks (if you do a blockaid first). Nothing like watching 20 protoss dance outside of a blockaid of supply depos and watching your first tank go into seige mode *uggg... need to go play!!*
Zerg is fun. Zerglings pouncing on Terrans is always entertaining.
Protoss is great to play too. Fun to just sit back and take over the armies attacking you and watching the units you aquire rise higher and higher. *starts to day dream*

Hehe as I was just clicking on this post a few minutes ago, I realized that Random was the best. But then Rev pre-empted me. :P

(I actually go random most of the time, and it's usually the strategy in p.v.p. so they won't know what race you are.)

Doesn't matter. If I would see you choose random, I would match your random with a random!
Then I would prepare for a random attack and then launch my Random attack. It is quite simplistic when you think about it for a bit.
