Cable Modem Service Suddenly Having Connection Problems, Slow Or Failed Loading Of Some Webpages, Or Low Upstream/Downstream Speeds.
Completely turn off the computer that is connected to your cable modem. Pull out the plug to the cable modem power cord so that no electrical power goes to it. Wait 10 - 15 minutes. Plug the power cord back in. Allow the cable modem 2 - 3 minutes to reset. Turn the computer back on. In most cases, this will restore your cable connection back to normal.
Have Shortcut Arrows Appeared On Your Desktop Icons That You Cannot Get Rid Of?
If you recently installed the March 7th security update from Microsoft, it will place shortcut arrows on some of your desktop icons which cannot be gotten rid of with Microsoft TweakUI or any other tweaking utility. Here is the "fix" for it:
Click Start - Run, type REGEDIT, then click OK to open the Registry. Click the + in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT to expand its entries. Scroll down to LNKFILE, then click it to expand its entries in the right pane. Right-click "IsShortcut", then click Delete - Yes. Scroll down to PIFFILE, then click it to expand its entries in the right pane. Right-click "IsShortcut", then click Delete - Yes. Close the Registry, then reboot your computer. The desktop shortcut arrows should now be gone.
Getting Buffer Underrun Messages When Trying To Copy To a Blank CD-RW CD, No Matter What You Do?
If you are using blank CD-RW disks, switch to CD-R disks. CD-RW disks are supposedly more finicky than CD-R disks about having something copied onto them.
Do not buy generic or low-quality CD-R disks, just to save money. The better quality disk you use, the better.
Lower the writing speed of your CD-RW drive and CD-burning software to a lower speed, such as 4x or 8x.
Before you start, close all unnecessary programs running in the background.
Do not use the mouse, keyboard, or perform any other computer functions while CD burning is in progress

Buy a CD-R/W drive with buffer-underrun protection (BURN-Proof, Smart-Burn, etc)
