Six i850E Motherboards With PC1066 Reviewed

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Tom's Hardware has taken a look at five i850E boards with PC1066 RDRAM and one with PC4200 RDRAM (Asus P4T533):
  • Asus P4T533-C
  • Asus P4T533
  • Biostar M7TTB
  • Gigabyte GA-8IHXP
  • Intel D850EMV2
  • Iwill P4R533-N
The different 32-bit and 16-bit Rambus modules are closely looked at and the boards are compared. Read the full review here.

Also, AnandTech has some strange news about the Parhelia. Earlier, the German Tom's Hardware site had a review of the Parhelia in which the video card was heavily lagging behind in most benchmarks. Since then, the review has been taken down. I wonder if there was a problem with the board or if Matrox had severely pressured the site into removing the review.

As soon as there's an 850E with DDR support, I'm there.

Of course, that would change the designation of the chipset, so it would be called something else.
