Saw the news over at the Dungeon Siege Website:
The third world of Ehb, named Yesterhaven, has been released on the August 2002 PC Gamer CD! Yesterhaven, a completely new multiplayer map with new quests and creatures, will allow you and your friends to explore a haunted valley at the northwestern edge of the Kingdom of Ehb. Yesterhaven requires the full retail installation of Dungeon Siege to install and play. Yesterhaven is designed for newly created characters, so if you're picking up Dungeon Siege for the first time or a Dungeon Siege veteran, create a new character and hop right in
Be sure to look for the August 2002 PC Gamer on your local news stands in the next week!
There's some first impressions of the new world also submitted at DS Net Guide News:
Just beat Yesterhaven, played it for about two days. It's short, but it is a lot better than UP. Vivid levels range from a gothic castle in a volcano to crystal towers at the top of a mountain. It's not gigantic, and it's an easy play. The events and plot are extremely good for the size though. I thought other campaigns got tedious...this one really kept my attention.
The plot for Yesterhaven goes something like this: your character stumbles upon a village in ruins, lost long ago. As you read an obelisk at the center of the ruins, you are thrown back in time to a winter haven with people shielding themselves from the cold. You soon learn the town is surrounded by three main geographical locations. First, a snowy mountain to the north, housing the Snow Queen, who, as of late, has become enraged and cast a violent winter upon the town. To the south lies a volcano in which the Fire King rests, bringing the town summer. To the east is more unknown territory; it is the land of the dead.
In unrest, this map takes you throughout all of these territories, all vibrantly filled with new enemies and landscapes.
As for complaints, it has no difficulty settings and is only good for starting characters. The progression was rather poorly balanced; with my new character, I had no trouble at all breezing my way through hordes of undead, even by myself. Once again, the map is rather short.
Overall, I really liked Yesterhaven, I hope more people make maps with fascinating triggered events like GPG so used in this one.
The new world will be a PC Gamer exclusive and will not be available for download for a certain period of time.

In Dungeon Siege?
I'll believe it when I see it for myself.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Too bad I'm completely uninterested in starting yet another character.

Doesn't matter. The game wasn't designed with storytelling in mind to begin with. Which is a shame since it wouldn't have been all that hard to add one.

I guess if it's for new characters, there isn't any Veteran or Elite mode.

Yeah, that's probably why I won't get around to playing it.

Where the hell is the patch that is supposed to fix the framerate problems, MP Bugs and allow the player made maps to be used? I quit playing nearly 10 days after I got the game because of that, and Im still waiting....

I've seen this news before on the DS Net Guide Site, but was wondering, is this going to be available for PC Gamer in the UK?
If not, would someone be kind enough to let me have a copy of the map, I've been looking for an excuse to get back into DS, and a new map would be the perfect one
