Hong Kong and Israel Hotbeds for Computer Hacking

A recent study shows that most cyber-attacks originate from Israel and Hong Kong on a per-Internet-user basis. Kuwait and Iran top the list of the category of countries with fewer Internet users.

Other interesting facts were also given:

Overall, the United States generates by far the most cyber attacks, followed by Germany, South Korea, China and France, according to a report from Riptech Inc.

. . .

Of the nearly 3,500 U.S. companies and security professionals polled for the InformationWeek magazine survey, 44 percent said they experienced a virus, worm or Trojan horse attack, in which malicious software masquerades as a legitimate program, down from 70 percent a year ago.

Cyberattacks include viruses and hacks used to cripple websites. More information can be found here

Welll... I gotta say that's not entirely accurate..

Let's put it this way: The countries that "generate" the most cyberattacks tend to be the ones with the least attention to cybersecurity. Their IPs and servers are very easily "borrowed." We refer to some of those countries as the "black holes" of internet security -- meaning there is none.

China and Korea are actually the biggest "source" of cyberattacks.
