E-mail etiquette

At what point does being on a person's e-mail distribution list become insulting? For instance, there is a girl I was really good friends with early in college. We stayed in touch, but I really haven't even spoken to her in over a year. In an e-mail, she asked me for my new phone number last Christmas, didn't give me hers, and never called.
She doesn't answer any personal e-mails I send her, but she keeps me on her e-mail distribution list. I (and the 30 other people on her list) get mail from her about once a month filling us in on details of her life.
I've talked to other people on the list, and she responds to their personal e-mails. This means she is either ignoring me or doesn't feel like responding -- either way, I feel vaguely insulted that she keeps me on her list but won't talk to me personally.
Should I just e-mail her and say "look, if you're not going to respond to my personal messages, then take me off your mailing list, because obviously we've drifted apart" ???

Are you sure she's been receiving your emails? I had that problem before with someone, eventually I ran into them and asked what was going on and they told me they never got any emails from me.

She may have inadvertantly put you in her spam filter or something, which would automatically delete your email or place your email in her deleted items folder... Perhaps she became a little too click-happy with her filter... or maybe her mail server is filtering your messages out or not connecting properly with the server sending your emails...
If you know the people in the list who got responded to by her, then the best idea would be to send them an email telling them to ask her to remove you from the list, or at least reply to your emails if she's receiving them...
Otherwise, there's no other thing to do but include her email in your spam filter...

try and see she didnt mistake your letter for spam and blocked your address.

Although that theory is possible, it's not probable, Laggy. I know this chick and, though she is a terminally intellectual being, when it comes to more practical aspects of life, I personally wouldn't trust her to change her own underwear. Asking her to configure an e-mail utility to filter spam would be like asking me to get pregnant.

LOL Angst.
Shal:
Personally, I would email her. If she's not responding to you, contact a friend on her list that you know she's responding to and ask them to forward it, or politely ask her "WTF?"

Well, it's a bit late now, as she just left for a two-month fun-filled bicycle romp across the Chinese countryside with her (Chinese) boyfriend.

ROFL!
Shalome,
Do you have her home address? Why not try the old fashioned way and write her a letter.

Nah, I don't have her address. She went to grad school in another state.
