Can someone give me the links to the half life mods so I can play Counter Strike on my computer... Grumpy got the updates while in LA and I want them on this computer too.

Befoe you download counterstrike, patch HL first. Go here to download the patch and install it.

Well, I talked to wargy, and now I'm gonna officially be able to play as TG on the TG CS server. No more cries of "hey, who the hell is he?" "Please take the TG tag off your name" "You aren't TG!"

After playing Counter Strike for a day or so, it is apparent that there must be hacks or bots or some cheats being used by others... Is this the case or do I suck this bad? I am dialing in on a 24k connection so that is bad... but I have seen impossible play... Is there a way to prevent cheating? I have heard of a file named punkbuster.... Please advise... VG

hrmm.... I don't have OpFor and I've only played regular HL online once, and that was many many months ago, before i had my new comp, so i pretty much couldn't move around. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
CS, TFC, and UT is what I play now.

Yeah, CS is fun as hell, even though I'm not that good at it, thanks to who ever it was that suggested putting CS on the LAN at Obs place, turned me around on the game, now I can't get enough <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

i recommend just buying basic halflife
im pretty sure you'll get charged if its packaged with any other mod - especially cs, and the cs in the box isnt as good as the cs you download
