Mechcommander2 FPS help

well, i no this game is semi recent (2001) but the system specs are small, but i get horrible FPS on it, W3 in high settings gets higher FPS then this does, does any1 know anything i should try with Mechcommander2
533mhz
256mb SDR
32mb radeon latest drivers
3gb of virtual memory/ the memory manager
anything else u needa know ill b glad to tell

Why, oh why, do you need 3gb of virtual memory?
It certanitly isn't helping you any.
Just a waste of space IMO, not to mention its probably slowing your machine down.

ive noticed a HUGE speed increase when i put it that high
