What is up with this game?

Its been almost 4 months now since this game came out and we still havent seen an official patch. I hate to say this, but Blizzard patches their games faster.
What is going on? I know there have been 2 or 3 beta patches, but all they did was cause more problems for my game. I havent played this game in months. I really want to get back into it, but nothing has changed since I quit playing 3 months ago.
How many of you are still playing it?

Me, but only on single player, and only because I only have a good gaming session (2 hours or so) about once a week -- and I don't always play DS.

I predicted this would happen when MS became the publisher. Sorry to see I was right.
MS published many good games...and quite often, the games they publish don't need much patching. However, whatever games they do publish that needs patching, forget about it.

I haven't tried any of the patches as I haven't had any real problems with it. I have only played online a couple times.
I generally play with my friends on my LAN so it's no big deal. I did notice that they released a new multiplay world, downloaded it, but haven't tried it yet.
I tend to stay away from Beta patches. I'm not going to be someones test monkey for software I purchased. I'll wait until it has "official" stamped on it.

Does the siege editor even work with the game yet? I remember they said you woulnt be able to make actual maps until the first official patch.
Major Ball Dropage. I want my $50 back.

You guys might be a little more informed if you checked some of the other DS sites out there.
I still play daily. But I'm using mods to change the game play.
Siege Editor does work with the beta patches and there is a thing called DSCM or something like that that will take a 1.09.2 map and convert it to work on v1.0
v1.0 has all kind of bugs in it. but some may never notice them.
It's your loss if you sell the game. At some point some of the teams will have some great new content out for DS. DS's original content is a little on the lacking side. I agree full heartedly there. But the extreme moddability of it makes up for that. Unlike say NwN that won't accept custom models texture and such, DS can have TC's of all different sorts. I figure by the end of the year there should be at least 3 totally different types of games all built on the DS engine.
Look around a bit more. You may just find something that can make the game a little more fun for you in the meantime.

I've actually spent quite a bit of time on many of the DS sites and forums. There are some decent mods out there, but nothing quite yet that really does it for me. Thought the lightsaber mod is cool.
I still play, just not like I did when I first picked it up. I'm waiting for more content to be released along the lines of something I might like.

I dont think the game has a lack of content. Its the bugs I hate.

That's kewl Tecil. Can understand not playin like you used to. Even with mods I'm gettin a little burnt on the UP map. And Yesterhaven isn't good for my high level guys. I haven't tried the lightsaber mod yet. I have been thinking about the eXpertAI mod and the hopeless mod. And Nivisec's Item overhaul mod looks fairly nice. Lately my newest challenge is to try and beat GOM on the Chicken World on 8 Player games without dying once. Since he has 650000 life it's a good 40+ minute fight. And a couple of his spells are pretty deadly.
Skyhn, I guess I say lack of content because I found the quests to be pretty shallow overall and have been everywhere on the map who knows how many times. After a few months of that, new scenery and challenges are desired. I've gotten the new challenges but not any decent sized new scenery yet.
I tend to think if the beta patch (either one) runs worse on your machine that there may be some driver or app conflicts. I've heard of others having some sort of app conflict. Once they uninstalled some app everything on DS started running smooth. Don't remember which app. I suspect something similiar is wrong on my K6-3 machine. It was running fine but some business software was installed and now DS won't run at all. Right now am too lazy to go through the joyous clean install of Windoze.
Well enough of me babbling. Just saw the best Fireworks display of my life and so am spewing at the mouth.
I hope everyone can find something to help them pass the time while we humbley wait for the great mods/maps to be finished up and released.
Peace

I did a full format about 3 weeks after I got DS. DS was the first and only thing I installed after I formatted(except ISP, DX8.1 and Video Drivers) and it ran the same.
So its not something on my PC. Ive also tested it on a laptop. Same results.
