This was some freaky shit! I was in a battle.net recruiting game.

All of a sudden this guy with my exact name joins the freggin game!! Man this scared the crap out of my pants! It surely had the exact name of BlackKnight{RA}!

Man it was some weird stuff. I immediatly took a screenshot and changed my password! I dunno if this is the latest hacks, some blizzard punk playing a trick, or some weird ass h4x0r! But it was insane!

To mods: Please don't take this to the pc gaming forum its not tech support related.

Man it was some weird crap. Anyone know how it happened?

hmmm ... that's what you get for choosing a very common name ... it's not like the black knight is an original idea or anything anyone who has read anything with king arthur or merlin or camelot in it knows the black knight... even Monty Python has a black knight...

Posted by: redwench

heh, he just used a name spoofer. annoying, but harmless.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

or Blackknight with an uppercase "i" instead of a lowercase "L" after the "B"

Posted by: Spider

thx for converting that to a jpeg
very considerate of you.

Posted by: Outlaw

JPEG's suck ass and you got cable...

Posted by: Spider

Yeah, but with a JPEG all I have to do is click and it opens in a new browser window, with a bitmap I gotta download it then double click it
I don't want to exert that much energy just to see a screenie of someone name-spoofing.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

I just open it from its current location, but I agree, the extra clicking is pretty annoying

Posted by: Blackknight

Oh boo-hoo, it scared the poop outa me. And I've had starcraft for 5 years!

Posted by: The_Turks(ff7)

i was on d1 once and the same guy entered the game twice. i soon left afterward but then realized that it is possible on d1 cuz i did it once i had my sis sign in as my char and then i signed in as that char on another comp. one was lvl 1 the other 40 and then i had the lvl 1 kill the lvl 40 and then i showed it to ppl on bnet. it was pretty funny actually. but on sc i dunno its just some hacker

Posted by: Spider

Heh, you've been on battlenet that long and never seen anyone spoof a name?
Ha.

Posted by: Blackknight

Nope.

Posted by: Bobaroo

Name hack.

My friend had one of those.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Or they could have been logged onto the same account.

Spider, you of all people should know that if two or even 6 people log in under the same account and join an SC/BW game that it won't display a "#2, #3, ect" suffix on the name

Posted by: Spider

Yeah, but he didn't know about it, so I doubt anyone who can crack battlenet accounts will be joining games just to freak out the naive.
