New Video Card Causing Problems?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I finally got myself a new video card, it is a Gainward GeForce3 Ti200 64mb Golden Sample.

I was expecting a huge performance boost from my old card(Vanta TNT 16mb), but it seems that I have little to no increase in performance. With my old TNT card I would max out at 30fps in CS, but Average about 15. With my new GF3 I usually max out at 30(sometimes I get 40) but I still avergae about 15fps. The game does seem a little better looking and smoother though. But I know someone who has a GF2 MX and gets 60-70fps.

Now here is my big problem. Warcraft III will not work
Whenever I load up War3 it will freeze, most of the time it will freeze on the main Menu. Other Times I can get to the options or singal player etc but sooner or later in will freeze.

I haven't tried any other games yet, but I will try MOH, SC and D2 and see how they work.

My System Specs:
Celeron 600
384mb PC133
GeForce3 Ti200
Win98se
Latest Via 4in1 drivers

Please Help me. I am so lost!

Do you have all the Warcraft III updates? Also you might want to try using another driver version, I heard some people have had success doing this.

Yes I do Tweaker.

Two days ago war3 was working fine with my old vid card. Now it freezes with the new card.

Latest DirectX?

I don't know of what else it could be, unless the card is faulty or overheating.

Just for the hell of it, try a different driver version. It might do the trick.

I think I fixed, I am not sure though.

I forgot that I played in Direct3d with my old card, I just put it in OpenGl and it ran for about a minute without freezing. I will see if this is true when I get back from work.
