security code for kenwood cd receiver

In my car I have a kenwood cd receiver model kdc-7009 I unhooked my battery to do some repairs, my cd receiver requires a 4 diget security code to to regain access which I am un able to locate or remember. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me resolve this problem!

Well, according to the Security Code information on page 34 of the manual for that product, you might be screwed. It's an anti-theft setting. Removing the battery won't clear the security code -- in fact, removing the battery ensures that the security code is locked in.
Kenwood's Frequently Asked Questions support has this to say about your problem:
Q. How do I reset the CODE on my car stereo?
A. Refer to your nearest Kenwood authorized service center with a copy of your proof of purchase.
