AT&T and Comcast Ready Merger

C|Net has news that AT&T and Comcast are completing steps to initiate a merger between their cable divisions:
NEW YORK--A&T and Comcast said on Monday they may exchange up to $11.8 billion in debt as they restructure their balance sheets as part of the planned merger of Comcast and AT&T Broadband.
AT&T, the No. 1 U.S. long-distance telephone and cable television company, agreed to sell its cable unit to smaller rival Comcast last December, in a deal that will create a larger market leader serving 22 million customers. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

I hope that this will give current AT&T Cable subscribers(such as myself) better channels. I have been begging for Comedy Central for years...
