Quick View!

In Windows 2000 Professional how do you enable quick view such that when you click once on a file in Explorer you are shown a thumbnail preview of the file off to the left?

Go to Tools->folder options->general tab, and on web view select enable web content on folders.

I do have those options selected but still cannot see the file preview when I click the file. Is this an option that needs to be installed and if so how? Thx!

I believe it's similar to XP, just open the view tab and select the thumbnails. If you mean when you open explorer and you have the preview beside it when you click on each item then it's in folder options. Just uncheck the "classic view".

I have been told by a good source that the problem with your thumbnail preview is a known problem and the solution can be found on the Microsoft webpages knowledge database.

I think this would be a good starting point:
