internet freeze

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

HI guys, I wonder if anyone out there can help with this problem? Every time a web site loads onto my computer it freezes for approximately one minute. It happens with all web sites and doesn't allow me to carry out any further functions until it unfreezes. I am using a Seanix 850 mhz Windows ME. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Don't get too technical, as I'm an old bugger who still thinks the steam engine was a marvelous invention!

Well, to start with, we'll need a little more information about your computer.

How much RAM do you have? (That'll be the thing measured in "megabytes" or "MB")
What are you using as an internet browser? Internet Explorer, Netscape, or something else?
How do you connect to the internet? Dial-up modem, cable modem, DSL? Do you have AOL?

Let us know these things and they'll help us answer your question.
