Real has released a new version of their RealOne player. The new player claims to play music and video in all fomats. Here is a snip from Reuters:

RealNetworks is betting that the newest updated version of the RealOne Player software will become the central hub of personal computer-based entertainment.

To make the new player more appealing to users, the Seattle-based digital media company said RealOne Player will also be able to play DVDs and record, or "burn," music onto blank CDs.

I saw this on TV News Earlier. Seems cool(except that its made by real networks, lol). But how did they get the licensing to allow the player to play .mov and some of the other licensed movie formats? Apple has never allowed other companies to be able to play the .mov format, and theres many more that seem like they would need licensing. Especially when Real Networks is selling a version of this player for money.

Seems kinda strange to me.
