CDRW troubles

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I installed a CDRW drive in another computer, and it works fine with regular CDs. However, when I try to burn something, the drive doesn't show up in Nero, and I get a 'Please insert disk into drive E:' if I try to explore a blank disc.

The drive shows up as a CDRW in the BIOS and Windows device manager. In My Computer it shows up as a regular cdrom. The company's website said the drive doesn't need any special drivers or anything, so what's the deal?

The computer is running Windows ME, and the drive in question is an AccessTek CW1601.

It's because your version of nero doesn't support your burner.

go here:
http://www.nero.com/en/index.html#download
and download Nero5590.exe, that should fix it.
