What is the fastest anyone has gone in a vehicle. I'm talking land based (no planes).
As for me, I used to have a turbo charged Mazda MX-6. On the interstate from Ruston to Monroe, I topped out at 146 mph. My Ex-girlfriend almost peed her pants. It was great! I hope nobody here is a cop.

Was passing like convoy of 4 semi trucks, I hate semi trucks. One nearly side-swiped me a few years back, but missed by a couple feet.

I had an 89 Dodge Daytona a few years back. Needle stopped at 120, but I had it buried about an inch past that on the interstate just outside of Baker Oregon.

Well, I was with a friend in his `93 Nissan Maxima, and that thing was FAST. We hit north on SR11 and the speedometer was buried past 120, I'd say we were doing at least 140. Not many cars were on the road, but that dude in the minivan was quite afriad. Ehehhehe He went onto the grass. LOL It wasn't bad, a bit scary tho...
Other than that, I was doing 76 on a `94 Yamaha Banshee 350. It was quite forkin scary, figuing it wasn't mine, and it just had it's rear end rebuilt. :\

Well, my girlfriend would of wanted me to add this little info.
She used to drive her grandpa's Ford F-150xlt `97
And this kid, whom we hate, had a small nissan truck, we took it on edingsons stretch here close to where we live. We buried the needle at 90, and we passed his truck and a tuarus was trying to compete, and his car was blowing out some smelly black smoke, and we beat them both. "It scared me, but I hate *****" [***** = Kids name]

if it counts my gf usually drives like 200 in her corsica on the highway when we are going out of town
was weird cause one time a deer ran in to the side of the car and another time she though she would try and take her bra off while driving cause it was bothering her and the road was all ice and we spun a few times and landed in a ditch 20 feet from the road
funny thing is this all took place on the same trip within 20 minutes of each other

There was a period of a year in the late 80s, where my father had to work out of town (Toronto). One of his greatest pleasures was passing sport cars with his (at the time) Russian red lada. When he bought it, it had a racing package in it. Racing carburetor, and some tweaks to the 4 banger inside that really boosted performance. Anyhow, he would slide smoothly behind them (usually going 100 mph) on the highway…and pass them going 140 mph. Their egos would be blown..seeing this shit box blow them out of the water. So they would try to catch up to him..often times not succeeding.
Had an OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) cruiser stop him on one of his runs. He was certain he was going to get a big ticket..but the pair just wanted to see what he had under the hood. Great fun.

fasted Driven... 140 in a 90 Hyndi Elantra on a 2 mile strecth of 19th ave in extreme northern phoenix..
Or 120 in my wife's 97 Taurus on Riggs Rd in Southeastern Phoenix from the casino to I-10
As for my new Dodge Dakota.. I had it up to 100 going to LA for the Lan party 2 weeks back.. full of pc's and tables..

Fastest Drive speed = 0 Km/h (still waiting to get a licsense)
Fastest as passenger = 128 Km/h
Going from Toronto to Niagra Falls on a 1995 Toyota Camry LE. I couldn't remember if we were faster than the train or whether it was faster....(the tracks were beside the freeway)
